Remember that the Great Commission was a command from Jesus Himself, NOT a suggestion.

Sharing our faith is an expectation of us as God’s children. God desires that all would come to know Him and share in His love, and we have a huge role to play in that vision.

We should be delighted to be part of God’s plan for the redemption of the world.

Sharing our faith is an expression of gratitude for the love and salvation we have received from God.

1 Peter 3:15 encourages us: “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."

When we share our faith with others, we bear witness to the transformative power of God's love in our lives and invite others to experience the same salvation and hope.

Sharing our faith is an act of love towards others.

1 John 4:7 reads, “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."

When we share the gospel with others, we demonstrate our love and concern for their spiritual well-being.

We desire to see them experience the same joy, peace, and fulfillment that comes from knowing Christ.

Bringing Hope to the Lost

The world is filled with people who are lost and searching for meaning and purpose in life.

Romans 10:14-15 reminds us, "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?"

By sharing our faith, we become instruments of God's grace, bringing hope to the lost and pointing them towards the source of true fulfillment and eternal life.

Strengthening Our Own Faith

Sharing our faith with others also strengthens our own faith.

Proverbs 11:25 declares, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."

When we share the gospel with others, we are reminded of the truths of God's word and the depth of His love for us.

It deepens our understanding of our faith and strengthens our relationship with God as we witness His transformative work in the lives of others.

Participating in God's Kingdom Work

Sharing our faith is an invitation to participate in God's kingdom work here on earth.

2 Corinthians 5:20 says, "We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God."

As ambassadors for Christ, we have the privilege of representing Him to the world and proclaiming His message of reconciliation and salvation.

Sharing our faith with others is a calling and a responsibility that we carry as followers of Christ.

It's a way for us to fulfill the Great Commission, express gratitude for God's love, demonstrate love for others, bring hope to the lost, strengthen our own faith, and participate in God's kingdom work.

May we embrace this privilege with joy and boldness, sharing the gospel with everyone we encounter and inviting them into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.
